these images lack detail and light. I got a new digital camera from Santa (Nikkon) and still learning its features.... but they were taken inside a storage unit in the dead of winter with moderate flourescent lighting.
I bought a cover for $200 in the US, which is an after-market (probably) replacement canvas cover (actually listed for a ponton)but it fits the 170DS sunroof hole (approx 53 inches) perfectly. The front of the cover is glued to the wood header structure that contains the latching mechanism. The header has a metal plate which is screwed to the wood and then a felt overlay to protect the cover. The rear of the cover slips over another metal plate that is screwed to the top of the car. I'm still working on the bracing bows and headliner, etc... but its a vast improvement over what I previously had, which had seen its days of wear. I decided on brown as a contrast to the black car and to correlate to the brown seats and interior.
