 Datacard

Daimler Benz, microfisched original purchase orders for models and today, maintains the service (Free) for classic owners. They request that you send a copy of a valid title and your address information. The "datacard" will often show the original options, sometimes the original owner/purchaser, and terms are in german. Often they will send it electronically in jpg or pdf form, sometimes the copy is hard to read, based on the microfische technique of teh 50s, but overall, it's nice to have as an original document to keep with the car's history.

4. What production code does my Mercedes-Benz have?
In cooperation with the DaimlerChrysler Corporate Archives, the Mercedes-Benz Classic Center has reedited the production code list for classic cars from 1924 as an online version. This list can be used for the precise identification of vehicle models according to production year and production code and is indispensable for the day-to-day work with classic Mercedes and Mercedes-Benz cars. It covers all passenger car models from standard production from 1924 through to the 107 and 123 series. Engine designations are equally listed.

5. Where can I find out more about the history of my classic?
Via a data card, you can obtain information about the condition in which your Mercedes-Benz classic left the factory, or you can have a certificate made out in which all the archived technical data are listed.
6. What is a data card, and where can I get one?
You can obtain a data card for your Mercedes-Benz from the Classic Center. This is a written proof of production with code numbers indicating the condition in which your car left the factory. To obtain a data card, you should send us a proof of ownership (e.g. a copy of the vehicle papers, purchase contract, etc.) by fax or mail.

7. What is this certificate and where can I get one?
The Corporate Archives make out certificates for Mercedes-Benz classic cars. It is a factory document of all archived data of your classic Mercedes-Benz in a representative form. The certificate is available at a price of 100 euros plus mailing costs upon presentation of a proof of ownership (copy of vehicle papers) and can be ordered in writing under konzernarchiv@daimlerchrysler.com or by fax: +49 (0) 711-1779054138.
