OK, I am looking for a pinion shaft bearing for a 39 170v, the number is not made anymore, tried everybody SKF, FAG no one has it, heres what I have number wise  on the bearing, its marked 35MN  in the book, its either NM35 or RMN35, any help?  Thanks   kent

If you have the original pre-war axle, the current FAG number is N307E.TVP2:   35x80x21. It should be available in other brands, which I think would also carry the N307 designation. The rest of the number specifies the type of cage.

If by chance, you have the post-war version axle without the full separate enclosure for the pinion, what they used to call the RMN 35 is the same bearing with a thicker outer race, which was proprietary for this application, and not available as far as I know. Your options are to buy the standard bearing and reuse the outer race if it looks OK, or to machine a carrier ring and press the standard outer ring into it. It works, I've done it.
